Our History

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) was founded in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller. Since 1976, HFHI has built or repaired over
2 million homes. Today, HFHI is a true world leader in addressing the issues of poverty and housing.

In Champaign County, 12 homes have been built since 2007.
HFHCCO became an official affiliate in March of 2003; our first home was completed in January of 2007. We have built 8 homes in Urbana,
2 in Saint Paris, and 2 in Mechanicsburg.

We were selected as a National Women Build site in 2015 and 2016. We are thankful for our many volunteers.
